FOI MEMBERS: Isis-Seshat is a medium of communication and sharing among FOI members. Whatever will enable FOI members to connect with each other, enhance their connection with Isis, and open their hearts to the many blessings of being an FOI member, is appropriate for inclusion in Isis-Seshat. Send your letters, thoughts, ideas, suggestions, news, reactions, meditations, visions, messages from Isis, and so forth. This is YOUR magazine!
WRITERS: We accept articles from FOI members relating to seasonal and issue themes; reports on FOI events, societies, and people; personal experiences involving the Goddess and FOI rituals; descriptions of your spiritual practices; spells; recipes; gnosis; poems; invocations; book and media reviews; announcements; etc. We prefer articles of 5,000 words or less, but will consider any high quality work. Please submit electronically if possible, by email to Deena Butta at deeankh@sbcglobal.net. Include the article or poem in the body of the email, or attach as a txt or rtf file or Word document. Please do NOT number the pages! Please also include the name you want published, your return address (which will not be published), a phone number or email address at which yoiu can easily be reached, and a short bio of 50 words or less. ARTISTS: We would like to include artwork by FOI members that is Isis-oriented, or relating to the season or to our issue themes, as well as photos of FOI events, societies, and people. RIGHTS AND REPAYMENTS: FOI Authors retain full rights to their work. We cannot pay money for submissions at this time, but we will send you complimentary copy of the issue that features your work if you request one. We offer free advertising space to contributors of long articles or large pieces of artwork.
SHORTER CONTRIBUTIONS: We are also looking for shorter contributions from FOI members such as: announcements concerning upcoming FOI events; society or degree advancement news; letters; personal ads (see the Ads section). For shorter submissions and smaller artwork, we offer our sincerest gratitude and our loving blessings, as well as the priceless opportunity to connect with other FOI members worldwide.
REQUIREMENTS: Please tell us in which category you want your work to appear: letters; articles; poems; research; artwork; recipes; instructions; fiction; experiences; rituals; meditations; news; notices; reports; or reviews. We can accept one contribution per category by a single author for each issue of Isis-Seshat. Be sure to include your name; and the best way to reach you (email, phone, address, etc.). Also tell us what name you want used in the magazine: and include a brief (2-3 lines) bio for yourself.
