Who is Seshat?
	Seshat is the Egyptian Goddess / Netert of writing, communication, and learning. She is the guardian of culture. Thus, she is the best possible Goddess to guide our strivings to share our minds and hearts as the Retinue of Aset, The Fellowship of Isis. We dedicate this magazine to Her.

What Is Isis-Seshat?

Isis-Seshat is the Personal Post of the Fellowship of Isis. It consists of material submitted by members of the Fellowship of Isis. Isis-Seshat is a way for members of to stay connected with each other, to share their dreams, their thoughts, and their spirits. Isis-Seshat is especially valuable for members who do not have access to the internet. Isis-Seshat supplements the information found on the Fellowship of Isis websites (www.fellowshipofisis.com and www.circleofisis.org), and in Isian News, the official newsletter of the Fellowship of Isis, which is available in both print and online form. Isis-Seshat consists of letters, poems, stories, news, announcements, rituals, meditations, original artwork, essays, and more.  Isis-Seshat is a forum for you, the reader and Fellowship of Isis member.

Background

Lady Olivia Robertson, co-founder fo the Fellowship Of Isis, has authorized the publication of Isis-Seshat, which she describes as "the personal post of the Fellowship of Isis." For years, Lady Olivia has published Isian News, the official newsletter of the Fellowship of Isis. Isian News originally played a vital role in connecting Fellowship of Isis members worldwide.   It continues as an online publication, available from the Fellowsghip of Isis official website at www.fellowshipofisis.com/isiannews.html Isis-Seshat strives to emulate the lively function of the old Isian News, and to fill a need for all members, both online and offline,to connect and communicate with each other.

Today
	Lady Olivia misses the personal quality of the old Isian News , which was established in 1976 along with the Fellowship of Isis itself, as do  the rest of us. She is happy to have the help of Fellowship of Isis members who are willing to assist in the labor of providing a way for members to communicate in print, and to re-capture the personal quality of the original Isian News.

Purpose

Isis-Seshat is a way for Fellowship of Isis members to share their thoughts and their spirituality, and to let their hearts speak to each other. Every issue of Isis-Seshat will contain letters, news. poetry, essays, research, stories, artwork, announcements, rituals, meditations, and much more. The Fellowship of Isis has as one of its missions to foster and encourage the many qualities of the goddess which have been missing from Western spirituality and religion. One of these qualities is creativity. Isis-Seshat is a forum for spiritual creativity. The Fellowship of Isis also honors spiritual diversity; and Isis-Seshat is a way for members all over the world to share the many facets of their spiritual life, and to praise the Goddess by expressing their originality and uniqueness  in Her honor.  Isis-Seshat is produced by 2 editors, and a handful of talented and creative columnists and contributors.  We welcome your submissions, and your ideas for making Isis-Seshat personal, useful, and inspiring.  For submission details, contact Deena at deeankh@sbcglobal.net
